Mick Jagger and Fiancée Melanie Hamrick Make Rare Glamorous Appearance Together at Star-Studded V&A Summer Party

Mick Jagger and Melanie Hamrick may prefer to keep much of their relationship away from the spotlight, but the longtime couple made a striking exception when they stepped out together for one of London’s most glamorous summer events.

The Rolling Stones frontman, 82, and his 38-year-old fiancée attended the V&A Summer Party’s 10th anniversary celebration at the Victoria and Albert Museum in South Kensington on June 17. Their appearance was particularly notable because joint public outings remain relatively uncommon for the couple.

Posing together inside the event, Jagger wrapped an arm around Hamrick’s waist as photographers captured the pair among a guest list filled with figures from music, fashion and the arts.

Hamrick brought understated glamour to the evening in a sleek, strapless slip-style dress with a fitted silhouette and midi-length hem.

The design featured gathering around the waist, a structured plunging neckline and a subtle sheen that caught the light as she posed alongside Jagger.

She completed the look with dangling earrings and chocolate-brown pointed heels, wearing her dark hair loose in soft waves.

The original report identified her outfit as appearing to be Australian designer Maticevski’s smoke-pink “Saucy Minx Dress,” priced at £2,445.

Jagger, meanwhile, stayed close to his unmistakable rock-star aesthetic. He wore a black leather jacket over a colorful printed shirt, teamed with belted trousers.

Their coordinated appearance added to the attention surrounding a couple who have deliberately maintained a degree of privacy despite Jagger’s decades of global fame.

A Rare Night Out for the Longtime Couple

Jagger and Hamrick have been together since 2014 after meeting in Tokyo while both were touring. They share son Deveraux, who was born in December 2016. Hamrick later confirmed that she and Jagger had quietly become engaged after years of speculation surrounding their relationship.

That preference for privacy has remained a defining feature of their life together.

Hamrick previously explained that she considers family deeply personal, describing it as a kind of private “bubble.” Rather than sharing every aspect of their relationship publicly, she has said she believes maintaining some mystery is important.

At the V&A celebration, however, the pair appeared relaxed as they mingled with other attendees.

The London outing came only weeks after another relatively rare joint appearance.

On May 7, Jagger and Hamrick attended the New York City Ballet Spring Gala at Lincoln Center in New York City. Photographs from the evening showed Hamrick in a shimmering strapless gown while Jagger opted for a black suit, dark shirt and sunglasses.

The occasion was particularly fitting given Hamrick’s longstanding connection to ballet.

Before expanding into choreography, producing and writing, she spent years as a professional dancer with American Ballet Theatre. She retired from performing in 2019 but has remained closely involved with the dance world through other creative projects.

Family Life Away From the Red Carpet

Despite appearing at major cultural events together, Jagger and Hamrick have generally kept their son away from excessive public attention.

Hamrick has previously spoken about Deveraux showing an interest in music, but she has also made clear that she does not want expectations surrounding his famous parents to determine his future.

With Jagger as his father and a former professional ballerina as his mother, she acknowledged that there could already be considerable pressure surrounding whatever path he eventually chooses.

For now, her priority has been allowing him the freedom to grow up and discover his own interests.

That balance between a highly public career and a carefully protected family life has become characteristic of Jagger and Hamrick’s relationship.

And while their appearances together remain relatively infrequent, their glamorous evening at the V&A Summer Party offered another rare glimpse of the longtime couple enjoying the spotlight side by side.
