The 1999 psychological horror has been praised as one of the most unforgettable films of its kind, with fans describing it as an “incredible” classic and even claiming it has one of the best endings they have ever seen.

Now, film and TV creator Luke Ecclestone, known online as Eccy Reviews, has urged his 480,000 TikTok followers to give the movie another look.

In a recent video, Luke described The Sixth Sense as “one of the best and most shocking films you will ever see in your entire life”, while his message to viewers was simple: “Stop wasting your Netflix and watch this film.”

A Classic That Still Has The Power To Shock

Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, The Sixth Sense was released on August 6, 1999, and follows Cole Sear, played by a then-10-year-old Haley Joel Osment.

Cole is a troubled young boy with a terrifying ability: he can see and communicate with the dead.

The experience leaves him frightened and isolated, with Osment delivering a performance that captures Cole’s anxiety, fear and growing determination to help those who appear to him.

His situation leads him to child psychologist Dr Malcolm Crowe, portrayed by Bruce Willis.

Crowe is a quiet and compassionate figure who is also struggling with trauma following a violent encounter with a former patient. The role offered Willis a striking change of pace from the action-heavy characters audiences had come to associate him with, particularly John McClane from the Die Hard franchise.
