War: Dominic West and Sienna Miller face off in Sky’s explosive new divorce drama
When one of Britain’s wealthiest couples decides to end their marriage, the divorce quickly becomes far bigger than a private family matter. Dominic West and Sienna Miller lead War, Sky’s new legal drama about an explosive separation that brings two of London’s most powerful law firms into direct conflict.
West plays British tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson, while Miller stars as his estranged wife, international film star Carla Duval. Their divorce becomes the centre of what is billed as the biggest divorce trial in British legal history, putting money, reputations, relationships and careers on the line.
The series comes from George Kay, creator of Lupin and Hijack, and has already secured a two-series order from Sky and HBO. Production on the second season is now underway.
The first teaser gives an early glimpse of just how bitter the battle will become. As the divorce proceedings begin, rival legal teams position themselves firmly behind their clients, with each side convinced that the other is responsible for the marriage falling apart.
Carla makes her position clear when she tells her lawyers that she has no idea who she has been married to. Her determination to make Morgan pay promises to turn the case into a particularly bruising fight.

What is War about?
The eight-part series takes viewers into the elite world of London’s legal profession, where winning high-profile cases can mean everything.
At the heart of the first season is the divorce between Morgan Henderson and Carla Duval. Their increasingly hostile separation brings two prestigious rival firms, Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne, into battle.
Each firm is determined to secure victory for its client, while the lawyers themselves become caught up in the personal and professional consequences of the case.
Among them is ambitious young lawyer Jonathan “Johnny” Warren, played by Archie Renaux. Drawn into the Henderson divorce, Johnny finds himself in a world where ambition, betrayal and ruthless tactics are part of everyday life.
The series uses the high-profile divorce as the starting point for a broader look at power, loyalty and reputation within London’s legal establishment. Sky has described the first case as the beginning of an anthology of headline-making legal battles.
In that sense, War has the polished legal-world appeal of Suits, but with a distinctly British setting and a story driven by one exceptionally high-stakes divorce.
The rival law firms at the centre of the drama
Carla is represented by Taylor & Byrne, led by Serena Byrne and Nicholas Taylor, played by Phoebe Fox and James McArdle.
The pair are partners in both business and life, and their firm takes on the challenge of representing Carla as the divorce battle intensifies.
Morgan, meanwhile, turns to Cathcarts & Sons. Nina Sosanya plays Beatrice “Queen Bea” Ubosi, his lawyer, while Pip Torrens appears as St John Smallwood.
The two firms have very different approaches, but both are prepared to go to considerable lengths to ensure their client comes out on top.
As the case develops, professional rivalries and personal loyalties begin to collide, with reputations at stake both inside and outside the courtroom.

West and Miller headline an ensemble cast packed with familiar British talent.
Dominic West takes on the role of Morgan Henderson, the technology entrepreneur at the centre of the divorce, while Sienna Miller plays Carla Duval, his estranged wife and an internationally known film star.
Archie Renaux plays ambitious lawyer Jonathan “Johnny” Warren, whose involvement in the case draws him deeper into the ruthless world of elite London law.
Phoebe Fox stars as Serena Byrne and James McArdle as Nicholas Taylor, the partners at Taylor & Byrne. On the opposing side, Nina Sosanya plays Beatrice “Queen Bea” Ubosi and Pip Torrens plays St John Smallwood for Cathcarts & Sons.

George Kay brings another high-stakes drama to Sky
War is written and created by George Kay, whose previous work includes Lupin, Hijack, The Long Shadow, Litvinenko and Criminal.
Ben Taylor, known for Sex Education and Catastrophe, serves as lead director.
The series is co-produced by New Pictures and Observatory Pictures in association with Sky and HBO. Sky and HBO commissioned two series from the outset, with the second season already in production.
The second season will move away from the Henderson divorce and follow another major legal battle, with Marisa Tomei, Kelly Macdonald and David Harewood set to lead the next case, which will centre on an explosive defamation dispute.
When does War premiere?
War will premiere in the UK on 2 October 2026, with episodes released weekly on Sky and streaming service NOW. The series will also air internationally through Sky and HBO platforms, including HBO and HBO Max in the United States.
