Helmet hair won’t be a worry!

Drake Maye looks unrecognizable after his wife, Ann Michael Maye, helped buzz his hair off to raise money for Boston Children’s Hospital in a recent video shared by NFL on X on Tuesday, March 31.
The clip sees the New England Patriots quarterback, 23, sitting in a barber shop chair with a black cape around his neck, all smiles until his wife, 22, takes the buzzer and hilariously is unsure how to operate the hair tool.

“Like this?” she sweetly questions, standing behind a now-nervous Drake in the chair awaiting his major hair transformation in front of a room full of people, who all chuckled at Ann Michael’s inquiry before getting started.
Just as the NFL wife was ready to begin, the crowd suggested a countdown from 10.
Then, Ann Michael — who wed Drake in June 2025 after knowing him since middle school — brings the buzzer to the QB’s head, making contact with his blonde locks. She takes two strokes down the middle of his longish hair, laughs and then surrenders the buzzer to the lady beside her.
While the video concludes there, the NFL shared photos of the “after,” featuring an unrecognizable Drake with his completely buzzed hairdo. He wasn’t completely bald, but his light-colored peach fuzz almost made it seem as if he was.
The Patriots star was beaming in the photos following the shave for a good cause, as was everyone in the room supporting him. Another shot captured the athlete feeling his barely there hair with his hand, making a face in disbelief that it’s nearly gone.

“@DrakeMaye2 got a new look to raise money for Boston Children’s Hospital ❤️,” captioned the NFL on X.
CBS Boston also posted a video of the shaving scene.
“New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye gets his hair shaved by his wife Ann Michael Maye at Granite Telecommunications annual ‘Saving by Shaving’ event, benefiting Boston Children’s Hospital. This year they raised $4.1 million for the hospital,” the caption reads.
Drake’s makeover move comes about two months after he made his Super Bowl debut with the Patriots in the 2026 game, where the team fell 29-13 to the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Sunday, Feb. 8.
Ann Michael has been supportive of her husband throughout his career and even shared a sweet message of encouragement on Instagram a few days after the team’s loss. She also uploaded a few snaps from her Super Bowl weekend.
