Complete cast breakdown of The Night Manager season 2: Who plays who & where you have seen them before
The Night Manager season 2 is finally on Prime Video after fans have been waiting for the second installment of the spy thriller series for around a decade. The hit espionage series adapted John le Carré’s novel for the first season. Season 2 goes beyond le Carré’s book but is still inspired by the dangerous and high-stakes spy universe he created.
It picks up almost a decade from the events of the season 1 finale and will see plenty of the old, familiar faces from the first season.
But there are also a few new additional actors and characters to give season 2’s expanded storyline more depth.

Tom Hiddleston as Jonathan Pine

Marvel star Tom Hiddleston returns to The Night Manager season 2 as Jonathan Pine. But he has a new life this time, no longer using the Jonathan Pine name.
He traded his previous uniformed to work a desk job for MI6 as Alex Goodwin, the lead in a surveillance unit called the ‘Night Owls.’ But someone from his past will bring him to the middle of the action.
Hiddleston is famous for playing Loki in the Marvel universe. He also starred in The Essex Serpent, The Hollow Crows, The Deep Blue Sea, and Midnight in Paris.
Diego Calva as Teddy Dos Santos
Mexican actor Diego Calva joins the second season of The Night Manager as a new character. He plays the Colombian businessman representing a modern version of Richard Roper, Teddy Dos Santos. But his connection to Roper is deeper than anyone realizes.
Fans may have watched him in Prison Cell 211, Midnight Family, Narcos: Mexico, and Damien Chazelle’s Babylon.
Camila Morrone as Roxana Bolaños

Primetime Emmy-nominated Camila Morrone is also a newcomer in The Night Manager season 2 cast. She plays a businesswoman running a shipping company deeply ingrained in Teddy’s business dealings but ends up working, somehow, with Pine.
The model-actress previously starred in Daisy Jones & The Six, Marmalade, and Valley Girl.
Hayley Squires as Sally
Two-time BAFTA-nominated actress Hayley Squires is another fresh face and character in the second season. She joins the ensemble as one of the members of Pine’s covert ‘Night Owls’ team – one of the remaining members of it after the season premiere.
Fans may have seen Squires in Blitz, No Way Home, Great Expectations, and Adult Material.
Olivia Colman as Angela Burr
Oscar winner Olivia Colman returns to The Night Manager season 2 cast as Angela Burr. She was the head of a small team in the UK’s Foreign Office in season 1 who worked with Pine to infiltrate Roper’s group.
Burr was the one who personally confirmed Roper’s death, which turned out to be false.
Colman won an Oscar for The Favourite. She’s also famous for The Lost Daughter, The Lobster, Heartstopper, and for playing Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown.
Hugh Laurie as Richard Roper

Hugh Laurie’s Richard Roper is a cruel arms dealer whom Pine helped to get arrested in the first season. He was dead by the end of season 1 – or so everything and Jonathan Pine thought.
He returns in the second season very much alive with a new name and a potentially even bigger, more dangerous army.
Laurie is most famous for playing Gregory House in House, M.D. He also starred in Tehran, Roadkill, Tomorrowland, and Veep.
Indira Varma as Mayra Cavendish
British actress Indira Varma joins the cast as senior official Mayra Cavendish in British Intelligence. She’s the woman who decides whether the Night Owls will continue their operations, but she’s mysteriously connected to the people working with Teddy.
Fans may have seen her in Game of Thrones, Luther, and The Legends of Vox Machina. She also starred as Lady Macbeth in Macbeth.
