Kelly Osbourne Says She’s Done With Her Sister Aimee — And There’s No Way Back. After years of tension, Kelly has revealed why she has permanently walked away from the relationship, saying she no longer wants someone in her life who tries to change her or makes “horrible” comments about her. When asked if there was any hope of reconciliation, her answer was blunt: “No.” What finally pushed the Osbourne sisters this far apart?

Kelly Osbourne has drawn a firm line under her relationship with her older sister Aimee, saying she sees no path toward reconciliation after years of tension between the siblings.

In an emotional conversation on Paul C. Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast, the 41-year-old opened up about the difficult relationship and explained why she has decided that Aimee will no longer be part of her life.

When Brunson asked whether there was any possibility that the sisters could eventually make peace, Kelly gave an unequivocal answer: “No.”

Kelly went on to make clear that her decision was not based simply on their personalities being different. She said she respects and accepts Aimee as a person, but feels that their relationship has become unhealthy for her.

“If you’re not going to accept me for who I am,” Kelly said, describing her experience with her sister, “and constantly be trying to change me and say horrible things about me, and truly seem to thrive when I’m not doing well, I don’t want you in my life.”

She also described the sisters as fundamentally different, comparing them to “oil and water,” while maintaining that being different would not necessarily have been a problem if there had been greater acceptance between them.

A Long-Standing Family Divide

The tension between Kelly and Aimee is not new.

Aimee, now 43, has spent much of her life deliberately outside the spotlight that made the Osbourne family famous. Unlike Kelly and their younger brother Jack, she refused to participate in MTV’s The Osbournes, the reality series that followed Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne and their children.

The show ran for four seasons between 2002 and 2005 and turned Kelly and Jack into household names. Aimee instead chose to pursue music while maintaining a much more private life.

Aimee has previously explained that she did not want the exposure that came with growing up on television. Sharon Osbourne has also recalled that Aimee left the family home at 16 rather than become part of the reality series, describing the decision as something that deeply affected her.

But Kelly has suggested that the distance between the sisters goes far beyond Aimee’s decision to stay away from television.

The pair have spoken about their differences publicly before. In a 2021 appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Kelly said that she and Aimee did not communicate and were simply very different from one another.

Jack Osbourne Has Also Admitted They Are Estranged

Kelly is not the only Osbourne sibling to acknowledge the fractured relationship with Aimee.

Before their father Ozzy Osbourne’s death in July 2025, Jack Osbourne spoke about his relationship with his older sister on the Disrespectfully podcast. He said they were “not close at all” and acknowledged that they did not have a good relationship.

Jack also discussed why Aimee had rejected the opportunity to appear on The Osbournes. According to him, she wanted to establish herself as a serious, alternative musician and felt that appearing on MTV would amount to riding on her family’s fame.

Once the series became a major success, Jack said Aimee became even more determined to stay away, choosing to remain private rather than risk being perceived as joining the family bandwagon.

Jack said he had never directly asked Aimee whether she regretted missing out on the show and acknowledged that he did not know how she ultimately felt about the decision.

The Siblings Reunited After Ozzy’s Death

Despite the years of distance, Aimee did appear alongside her family following Ozzy Osbourne’s death on July 22, 2025.

Her rare public appearances around her father’s funeral brought the siblings together at a difficult moment, although Jack had already made clear that their relationship remained strained.

Aimee has continued to maintain a relatively private public profile while pursuing music under the name ARO. She also made another rare appearance with her family at the 2026 Grammy Awards during the tribute to her late father.

Those public family moments, however, have not translated into the reconciliation Kelly now says she does not expect.

For Kelly, the issue appears to be less about whether the sisters can simply put their differences aside and more about whether their relationship allows her to feel accepted.

Her latest comments make her position clear: she says she respects Aimee, accepts that they are different, but no longer wants a relationship in which she feels criticized or unsupported.

And after years of estrangement within one of Britain’s most recognizable families, Kelly is now saying there is no hope that the sisters will repair their relationship.
